About Tiernan

Tiernan is the main protagonist driving the changes among the Elindari (half elven).  He begins the book as the Warden of the West He patrolled the western borders of the striplands. The striplands are the lawless zones between the clans where exiles are sent. Nothing in his previous experience has prepared him for what he faces. He and his brother Evan are the Clan’s enforcers. At the start of the story he and his brother command some 20,000 men. He is assigned as an ambassador to the human settlement.  While the main hero in book one. He finds himself promoted by his family far beyond his wishes.

About Jura

Jura came to lead an invasion of Jarrod’s Landing, a trading post on the Elindari coastline. Instead she and her brother were the sole survivors of a disastrous defeat. Jura shares an emotional link with Tiernan. While imprisoned, both on the edge of total moral collapse, the Imril trees chose a pair of champions, Jura and Tiernan. That link saved them both, and changed them both. Because of the link no emotion can be hidden between them. Theirs is a marriage of utter devotion to one another.

About Lira

Lira is passionate about life, protecting the outcast, and flaunting the rules. She will never be contained by society. You take her as the woman she is or you leave her alone. There is no compromise with Lira about who she is. She is the Mistress of the Enclave, her title earned with her skill in using the way of the leaf in healing. She leads the druids of Clan Silverway. She takes in the weird and the unloved of the Elindari, training them in the ways of magic. There is no closer friend than Lira, and no worse enemy.

About Tanith

Tanith Sanderson, daughter of Admiral Issac Sanderson. No one person in the Elindari Chronicles changed more than Tanith did. Tanith begins the as a privileged and somewhat spoiled young lady. She had known Tiernan since her school days. When her father had failed to intimidate Tiernan into leaving, she had stepped in to ease negotiations. She used her insights to Tiernan’s personality to begin a relationship with him. Unwisely, she also inserted herself into Elindari politics. As Lira would later note, Tanith’s princess dreams didn’t survive contact with brutal Elindari politics. Whatever else may be said about Tanith, she was no quitter. A prison term with guards that thought rape was a higher form of entertainment, brought Tanith a personal low. She betrayed Teirnan to stay alive. She later faced her dark side and rallied to become a full druid. Using a lifetime growing up with a Kovir Imperial Admiral gave Tanith the ability to organize a new navy. Her cold stance on deck, and her willingness to risk anything, including her own life, to kill the Elin Imperial Navy’s foes. Tanith had become the dreaded Lady Ice.
